VT bearings are available as combined thrust and guide bearings with a radial and axial component, while VG bearings are only supplied as radial guide bearings. The main features of VT bearings are the sliding and tilting RENK RD pads. These are supported by cup springs, thus ensuring an even axial load distribution. Depending on the respective operating conditions, VT / VG bearings operate with natural cooling, external lubrication or integrated water coolers. The use of a fan expands the range in which natural cooling can be used to include higher speeds.
