EVE bearings are available as combined thrust and guide bearings with a radial and axial component, while EVF bearings are only supplied as radial guide bearings. The main features of EV bearing inserts are the sliding and tilting RENK RD pads. These are supported by cup springs, thus ensuring an even axial load distribution.
EV bearing inserts can also be supplied with an oil case of the appropriate size, on request, if the machine housing is not designed to serve as an oil case. Depending on the operating conditions, bearing power loss can be dissipated through natural cooling of the lubricant container, through additional cooling by means of a finned tube cooling device incorporated in the lubricant container, or through external cooling of the circulating lubricant.
